About ten years ago, I decided to jump into the deep end and opened my own wedding venue. I’ll be honest: I didn’t know much about the wedding world back then, but I knew how to run a business. Before I knew it, we were winning awards as a venue and for event coordination. That success came from a simple belief: business is much easier than people make it out to be. It’s all about looking at what happened, learning from it, and making small tweaks every single time. I don’t see mistakes as failures; I see them as the "tuition fee" you pay to get better and grow.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial heart, but I’m also a mum of three. I know exactly what it’s like to deal with that parent guilt while trying to grow a business. I’ve lived through the stress of trying to be everywhere at once, which is why I’m so obsessed with creating foundations and structuring a business to give you your life back.

I started The Business of Weddings because, frankly, I got tired of the lack of real support out there. When I needed a mentor for my venue, I couldn't find anyone who actually "got" our industry. I wasted so much time explaining the basics to people who didn't understand why our world is so unique, and it led to some pretty expensive mistakes.

I made it my passion to fix that.

I’m on a mission to give you the kind of support I wish I’d had – wedding business mentoring and education built specifically for this industry. I’ve taken my 30 years as a CPA, entrepreneur, and mum, and poured everything I’ve learned into helping business owners in the wedding world, an industry I truly fell in love with. My focus is to educate and empower you so you can finally feel confident and in control of your business and next steps. Plus, I’ve built a network of experts who speak our language, so you’ve always got the right people in your corner.
